INITIATIVE STILL REQUIRED FOR PORT GLASGOW TOWN CENTRE DEVELOPMENT

Inverclyde liberal democrats have highlighted that Initiative is still needed for Port Glasgow Town Centre development.

Commenting on previous criticisms that the Labour/ conservative coalition were missing an opportunity for the land to be utilised to create growth in the Inverclyde economy,.

Inverclyde liberal Democrat chairman, Simon Hutton said “More than a year ago we highlighted our intentions for something to be done to utilise the derelict land to the west of Port Glasgow’s Tesco Extra store.”

“This land could be utilised to create growth in the Inverclyde economy but remains empty, and it is completely understandable that the people of Port Glasgow feel let down by the current eye sore of empty weed ridden land”

“More needs to be done by the labour/conservative coalition in Inverclyde council to get things moving”
